What the H3C is

The Bambu Lab H3C is a nine material tool changer FDM printer, released on 3 November 2026 as the H3C Combo with the AMS 3H filament unit. It is an enclosed machine with a steel chassis and a 330 by 320 by 325 mm build volume, and it weighs 36.28 kg with the AMS 3H included.

SwapTek and the nine PrintTools

SwapTek is Bambu’s name for the tool changer. Nine PrintTools sit in a retractable rack, each with its own filament path and heater, so every material stays loaded and preheated. Bambu says a tool change takes 3.4 seconds and a material switch 6 seconds in its own test with PLA Basic, with purge as low as 0.038 g per switch. Different nozzle sizes from 0.2 to 0.8 mm can share one print, optional CraftTools for cutting, drawing, debossing and foil transfer fit the same slots, and the CMYKW PLA Palette filament lets it mix five colors through layered deposition.

FlexFeed and TPU

The FlexFeed extruder takes 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm filament. Bambu says the 2.85 mm path prints TPU as soft as 75A at up to three times the flow rate of traditional printers. The 2.85 mm PrintTool comes pre-installed and prints 2.85 mm flexible filament only, and today the only 2.85 mm filament is Bambu’s TPU 75A. Nine color 1.75 mm printing with near zero purge needs an extra 1.75 mm PrintTool.

The AMS 3H and drying

The AMS 3H is a fully enclosed nine slot filament unit with auto loading, RFID and a humidity display. Its built in dryer heats two slots at a time to 85 °C for PA, PET and TPU, on demand or, with selected filaments, mid print. Existing AMS units connect through PrintTool No. 1 for up to 24 spools.

Speed, chamber and materials

Bambu says the toolhead and X axis are 40 percent lighter than on the H2D, and it rates the H3C at 25,000 mm/s² acceleration and a 1,400 mm/s toolhead travel speed. The chamber has active dual zone heating to 65 °C, cross flow cooling and HEPA H11 and carbon filtering. All nine hardened steel nozzles reach 350 °C and the bed 120 °C, for ABS, PC, PA-CF, PET-CF and more.

Price and bundles

On 3 November 2026 Bambu’s US store listed the H3C Combo at $2,499, the Combo with a Filament Starter Pack (TPU or Colourful TPU, each with CMYKW) at $2,589, and the Full Combo with the Bambu Station L stand at $2,799. All were in stock, shipping from the US warehouse within 1 to 3 business days, free in the 48 contiguous states. There is no launch discount on the printer itself.

What we have not verified

Every figure above is Bambu Lab’s own, taken from its product and US store pages on 3 November 2026. The switch and purge figures are Bambu’s internal test claims. Planet 3DP has not tested the H3C yet, so there is no verdict or ranking here.

How the Bambu Lab H3C compares
