This is the no fluff guide to unbox, build, and get your first print going fast. Just got your A2L? Start here. The A2L ships with more setup steps than a normal Bambu, so I walk you through every one in order. No filler. No detours. Just the fastest path from sealed box to first successful print. We cover the full unboxing, securing the heat bed to the base, attaching the bed to the frame, and the part most people miss, lubricating the guide rails. Then it's the wiring. The data cable, the X axis motor, and the purge wiper all get connected the right way. After that we install the build plate, build the AMS, route the PTFE tubes, and power on. I'll get you through the app, wifi, account binding, and the firmware update you absolutely should not skip. Then the fun part. My must have first prints for the A2L. First is the AMS overhead mount. It lifts the AMS off your bench and over the frame, which is a lifesaver if you're tight on space like me. Print it in PETG if you can. Next are the PTFE tube guides that fix the awkward pull angle on the tubes. Then the poop bucket. There wasn't a purge wiper mounted bucket for the A2L yet, so I designed my own in Fusion. It hangs off the wiper and overhangs your table edge. Last are the spool holder locks that stop your front spools from sliding off the angled top mount. This mod has held up for me for years. Are 3D printers about to be banned? Breaking down the new New York and California laws, the loopholes, and what they actually mean for makers. Full breakdown below 👇 New York signed its 3D printing law on May 28th. California passed AB 2047 through the full Assembly the day before. Three laws in under ninety days — and there is a part of the New York law that is already in effect right now that almost nobody is talking about. The blocking technology mandate has an escape hatch. The law creates a working group that has one year to study whether the technology is even feasible — and if they say it can't be built, the mandate never triggers. But the felony file provisions under sections 2.10 and 2.11 are not tied to that working group. Distributing or possessing design files that can produce major firearm components is a Class E felony in New York today. California's version goes further. It's a misdemeanor to disable or circumvent the blocking software on your own printer. Not to print a gun. Just to run Klipper. Just to use OrcaSlicer on a machine it wasn't designed for. Anycubic Kobra 4 review: the summer sale made the 4 color Combo cheaper than the single color Kobra X. Worth it? Everybody looked at the Anycubic Kobra 4 and asked the same question. Why buy it when the Kobra X does more for about the same money? For most of this year, that was fair. Then the AliExpress summer sale dropped and flipped the math. Bambu Studio 2.7.1 just dropped and it's a big one. Here's every new feature from the 2.7 beta and 2.7.1 release, explained in plain English. Bambu Studio 2.7.1 is the public release built on top of the 2.7 beta, and it brings a real stack of upgrades to multicolor 3D printing. This walkthrough breaks down every single change so you know exactly what each one does and whether it actually matters for your setup. No jargon. Just clear explanations made for beginners. We start with the 2.7 beta. The headline feature is Texture to Color Painting, which takes the artwork baked into a model and turns it into real multicolor paint on the surface. Then I cover the improved mesh diagnostics, the new per part gradient option, and the fix that keeps your painted colors after a Plane Cut. Then we move into the 2.7.1 public release. That adds official support for the Bambu Lab A2L, a new gradient color curve panel for full control over your color fades, full screen Liveview, the Alternate Extra Wall setting for stronger parts without the full time cost, FBX file import with better multi texture handling, batch adding in the Filament Manager, a PETG prime tower stability fix, and LAN mode that finally remembers your printer after a restart. Full walkthrough below 👇 Complete Snapmaker U1 unboxing and setup guide that gets you printing fast. No fluff, no filler, just the steps you need. Snapmaker U1: https://snapmaker.sjv.io/Ag3x17 Got a brand new Snapmaker U1 sitting on your bench? This walkthrough takes you from the moment you cut the box open to running your first print, with every step in order and nothing skipped. The U1 ships with a lot of tape. I mean a lot. The first thing I'll show you is how to strip it all out so you don't miss anything hiding under the build plate or behind the tool head swapper. After that, we go through the toolbox contents, the filament feeders, the PTFE tubes, the filament holders, and the four tool heads. The tool head install trips a lot of people up the first time around. There's a yellow sticker that tells you which one goes in first, and a red sticker on the brackets that tells you when each one is ready to slot in. I show you what it looks like when you miss the alignment hole so you can fix it fast if it happens to you. From there we get into the data cables, the large PTFE tubes, the clips, and the small details that matter when you want a clean install. Then we power it on, run the Wi-Fi setup, scan the QR code through the Snapmaker app, and kick off the 20 minute calibration. The machine ships with four small filament rolls in yellow, white, black, and red. I show you which slot each one goes in, and we run the dragon model as the first print with dynamic flow and time lapse turned on.
